The Massive Shipment that Could Change Saudi Arabia’s Future

In an astounding demonstration of logistical brilliance, India’s Express Global Logistics (EXG) recently wrapped up a significant mission pivotal for Saudi Arabia’s ambitious green energy plans. This operation involved transporting colossal components, each reaching lengths of up to 50 meters and weighing an astonishing 250 tonnes, crucial for a futuristic green hydrogen initiative in the region.

EXG expertly managed the transfer of 14 gigantic units, approximating a total of 1,500 freight tonnes. To accomplish this challenging task, they leveraged their advanced Megaload transport technology. Central to this operation was the deployment of a state-of-the-art fleet featuring Scheuerle modular transporters, which were equipped with 48 axle lines and advanced power management systems to support the immense weight of the cargo.

Precision was essential at every juncture of the transport process. Eight of these behemoth structures were shipped overseas utilizing the roll-on roll-off method. The other six units were transported on land to a jetty, where enormous crawler cranes deftly managed the loading and unloading.

EXG’s meticulous execution highlighted their unparalleled expertise in overcoming logistical complexities. Maintaining equilibrium during sea crossings showcased their rigorous attention to operational details. Earlier this year, EXG enhanced their capabilities by forming a strategic partnership with Italy’s Fagioli, further strengthening their position in major logistical projects within the petrochemical and construction sectors. This alliance, known as the Megaload venture, aims to amplify their ability to manage immense transportation tasks, securing their leadership in the industry.
