Spring es una temporada llena de color y creatividad, y Art Works, una galería de arte ubicada en el distrito de Manchester en Richmond, te invita a explorar el apasionante mundo del arte a través de una serie de eventos especiales en febrero y marzo.
Art Works es una galería que destaca por su colección de arte contemporáneo creado por artistas locales e internacionales, y todas las piezas están disponibles para su compra.
A continuación, te presentamos una lista de eventos que Art Works ha preparado para el mes de marzo:
1. Encuentro mensual de artistas en RVA
El martes 13 de febrero y el jueves 21 de marzo, de 6 a 7 p.m., podrás asistir al Benchtop Brewery ubicado en 434 Hull St. Allí tendrás la oportunidad de conocer y colaborar con otros artistas locales mientras disfrutas de una bebida refrescante.
2. Artful Valentines
El miércoles 14 de febrero, de 11 a.m. a 5 p.m., celebra el Día de San Valentín en Art Works con una búsqueda del tesoro temática. Además, recibirás agua con gas y champagne de cortesía, así como un obsequio especial para celebrar el amor.
3. Cuarto viernes en Art Works
El viernes 23 de febrero y el viernes 22 de marzo, de 6 a 8 p.m., ven a disfrutar de las nuevas exposiciones y conoce a los artistas detrás de las obras. Este evento es gratuito y también podrás estacionarte sin costo alguno.
4. Queer Life Drawing
El miércoles 28 de febrero, de 6 a 8 p.m., acude al Gold Lion Community Cafe ubicado en 1012 Hull St. Allí podrás usar tus materiales artísticos para dibujar a los modelos Jo’rie Tigerily y Qing Blaze en el evento “Queer Life Drawing” organizado por RVA Thriving Artists. Las donaciones recaudadas contribuirán a la exhibición “Color Theory: The Richmond Queer Art Experience”. Regístrate aquí para participar.
5. Sesiones de figura humana
El domingo 18 de febrero, el domingo 3 de marzo y el domingo 17 de marzo, de 1 a 4 p.m., únete a Art Works para sesiones de dibujo en vivo de la figura humana, organizadas por RVA Thriving Artists. Obtén más información aquí.
6. RVA Thriving Artists Exchange
El lunes 4 de marzo, de 6 a 8 p.m., Bebhinn Thomas impartirá una clase sobre la técnica de fieltrado. Este evento es gratuito y está abierto al público en general.
7. Búsqueda del tesoro “Mujeres en las Artes”
Desde el viernes 1 de marzo hasta el sábado 23 de marzo, de 11 a.m. a 5 p.m., visita la oficina de Art Works y obtén una hoja de acertijos. Luego, observa las indicaciones en las paredes y encuentra las obras de arte correspondientes a las pistas. Una vez completada la búsqueda, podrás recoger tu premio en la oficina.
8. Día de San Patricio
El domingo 17 de marzo, de 11 a.m. a 5 p.m., haz una parada en la galería de Art Works y disfruta de ponche verde y galletas en honor al Día de San Patricio.
9. Búsqueda de huevos de Pascua
El domingo 31 de marzo, de 11 a.m. a 5 p.m., Art Works celebra la Pascua con una divertida búsqueda de huevos. Encuentra los huevos y resuelve los acertijos correspondientes para luego recoger tu premio de Pascua en la oficina.

Art Works is a gallery that stands out for its collection of contemporary art created by local and international artists, and all pieces are available for purchase.
Here is a list of events that Art Works has prepared for the month of March:
1. Monthly Artist Meetup in RVA
On Tuesday, February 13th and Thursday, March 21st, from 6 to 7 p.m., you can attend the Benchtop Brewery located at 434 Hull St. There you will have the opportunity to meet and collaborate with other local artists while enjoying a refreshing drink.
2. Artful Valentines
On Wednesday, February 14th, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., celebrate Valentine’s Day at Art Works with a themed treasure hunt. In addition, you will receive complimentary sparkling water and champagne, as well as a special gift to celebrate love.
3. Fourth Friday at Art Works
On Friday, February 23rd and Friday, March 22nd, from 6 to 8 p.m., come and enjoy the new exhibitions and meet the artists behind the works. This event is free, and you can also park for free.
4. Queer Life Drawing
On Wednesday, February 28th, from 6 to 8 p.m., go to the Gold Lion Community Cafe located at 1012 Hull St. There you can use your art materials to draw models Jo’rie Tigerily and Qing Blaze at the “Queer Life Drawing” event organized by RVA Thriving Artists. 5. Figure Drawing Sessions
On Sunday, February 18th, Sunday, March 3rd, and Sunday, March 17th, from 1 to 4 p.m., join Art Works for live figure drawing sessions, organized by RVA Thriving Artists. Learn more here.
6. RVA Thriving Artists Exchange
On Monday, March 4th, from 6 to 8 p.m., Bebhinn Thomas will teach a felting technique class. This event is free and open to the general public.
7. “Women in the Arts” Treasure Hunt
From Friday, March 1st to Saturday March 23rd, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., visit the Art Works office and get a puzzle sheet. Then, follow the directions on the walls and find the artworks that correspond to the clues. Once the hunt is completed, you can collect your prize at the office.
8. St. Patrick’s Day
On Sunday, March 17th, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., make a stop at the Art Works gallery and enjoy green punch and cookies in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.
9. Easter Egg Hunt
On Sunday, March 31st, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Art Works celebrates Easter with a fun egg hunt. Find the eggs and solve the corresponding riddles to collect your Easter prize at the office.
